'Centerfield 9'. Not sure why, but that always makes me smile the way they say it. Sounds like a used car salesman. '7 out, 3 and 4, you are poor' and my personal favorite with a friend of mine: 'Two craps, Leann get your twos off the rail'. Craps is a fun, popular, high energy game that anybody can get involved with. Guests love to play this game, especially when they don't lose real money, to learn how the game is played. Our dealers are trained to teach the basics and the advanced play to everyone who wants to learn so even if it's your first time, it probably won't be your last! Center field nine - A roll of 9. The number nine is in the middle of field box on the craps layout. Change - Said to dealer or boxman to get chips for cash or from larger denomination chips. Check Change - Same as change. There are two types of craps; street crap and table crap. We are going to address these two variations of craps in this piece. First of all, let’s answer the question you’re asking; why is nine called centerfield in craps? The answer is simple. Nine is called the centerfield because it is the middle number shown on the layout in casinos.

Are most stickmen this befriending/charming?
Some are, some aren't.
But watch that video closely and you'll see at least two edits. You can't tell if he's always like that, or if it's occasional and they edited out the boring parts.
By the way, there were at least two phrases that were in that video twice. So a lot of it is just the same ol' routine.
I found this guy a bit amusing and enjoyable.. are most stickmen this befriending/charming?
As an ex-dice dealer from Vegas. I have nothing good to say about him.
Would never be a good stickman in Vegas or for that matter anywhere.
New Craps Dealers, this video is how NOT to be a stickman. Sure his words are fun to listen to but his procedures are horrible and should piss off any boxman that would care about their table.
One the first come out roll he uses a Roulette Dealers line, 'Place your bets', yuck and does nothing to advertise the prop bets like bet the 7, 11 craps checks etc.
That is what box wants to hear!
He is not ready with his stick to reach out and call the dice and bring them in using the stick. How many times does he pick up the dice with his hands? Too many. That is real bad. And he does not switch between both hands using the stick.
Again, he uses a 'No cheating before 5' line on a come out roll, not advertising the fact or even again to bet the prop bets. He says 'How about a little insurance?'
WTF! Advertise we have the same shooter coming out and it is a good time to bet the 7 and 11, horn, craps checks!
His stick calls are not even proper calls. The first roll is a 9, the call should be 'Nine, centerfield Nine, mark the point 9', then he can add his funny lines following.
Another come out roll '6 now, put him on 6 now'...horrible stick call.
And on a point of 6 he pushes the Big 8, ok but does nothing about selling the hardways!
Centerfield 9 Craps Rules
This drove my crazy and would frustrate a boxman to a boiling point!
Another call' And that is 9. Pay the place bet, on and off' WTF!!!
Proper call would be '9 centerfield nine, off and on for the come bet 9, pay the place bet.'
It is 'Off and On' NOT 'on and off', because the bet would come off and then come back on.

Yeah, Im old and grumpy today.

Hey DJ
Rather than correct peoples mistakes and put the link in for them why don't u teach them to fish and tell us idiots how to put a link in ourselves.
Let's not accuse him of not trying to be helpful. It's a bit of a pain and it's nice if someone does it.

to do it yourself, look for the link below the text area when replying, it says 'click here for formatting codes'
